8 April 2005

AMT today announced the product road map for the Flightman™ award winning development framework for Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) solutions will add a rich graphical environment to the current development framework. This will allow the best of breed Flightman™ based solutions to also include fully integrated graphical based elements such as charts, manuals, situational awareness elements, and three dimensional graphical elements.

The next release will use the emerging combination of SVG, XML and Java within the Eclipse development environment to produce an open standards based rapid application development environment that can speed time to market and reduce costs for world class EFB solution development. Flightman V3.1 will be available in Q4 2005.

The Flightman™ Graphical Module combines the mature communications and network framework elements to allow aircraft operators and solution providers to deploy highly flexible solutions that can integrate content and workflow from both internal and external sources. The Flightman™ 3.1 release will also add additional enhancements such as additional communication channel optimization tools, ACARS rerouting over IP, synchronization over ACARS and an SNMP active network gateway.

Commenting on the road map, Bernard Hensey, CEO stated: "Flightman™ Version 3.1 shows the continued investment that AMT is making in future product to allow our customers to have access to next generation technologies in a world beating software development framework".
