Mike Ramsay joins Pentech Advisory Group - Ex Chairman and CEO of TiVo to help grow start-up UK software companies.

Pentech Ventures, the early stage UK software fund, has appointed Mike Ramsay to its Advisory Group. The Pentech Advisory Group comprises successful technology entrepreneurs who work with investee companies to help them realize their potential to become global software companies. Founder, past Chairman and CEO of TiVo (NASDAQ: TIVO), the Company that defined the digital video recorder market.

Mike guided TiVo from an idea, to a NASDAQ listed global technology company, with over 4 million subscribers, and sales of circa $200m. He is currently a member of the Board, and Chairman of the Technology Committee. He is also an advisor to both Redpoint Ventures and NEA, two leading Silicon Valley venture funds.

Commenting on the appointment, Eddie Anderson, Director of Pentech Ventures, said: “We are delighted that Mike has joined the Pentech Advisory Group.
