Executive Team

Eddie AndersonEddie Anderson

Eddie Anderson has 20 years experience in building innovative software companies and products.

Prior to founding Pentech, he was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Objective Software Technology (OST), a software tools company, based in Scotland and selling product internationally. OST was sold to Wind River Systems (NASDAQ:WIND) in 1998. As CEO, Eddie was responsible for the overall business strategy, fund raising, establishing and managing OEM relationships with leading international software organizations, and the development of the sales channels both nationally and internationally.

During his period with Wind River, he played an integral part in the definition and development of the next generation of Wind River product, running groups spread over three geographic locations.

Prior to founding OST, he has held various roles in BT Research, building next generation telecoms infrastructure software, and real- time systems for video routing and switching.

Eddie was a Director of Applied Generics (sold to TomTom BV) and currently serves on the boards of AMT, Critical Blue and Enigmatec.

He has a B.Sc (Hons) in Applied Physics from the University of Strathclyde.

 

David ArmourDavid Armour

David Armour is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years experience of advising on private equity deals.

Part of the Pentech team since inception, David has undertaken commercial and financial diligence and led Pentech’s deal management process on all investments, including a number of subsequent follow on funding rounds and restructurings.

David was previously involved in his own start-up as a partner in one of Scotland’s foremost Corporate Finance advisory practices, responsible for lead advisory and due diligence services. With a broad range of skills, honed across a range of technology sectors, David works with all portfolio companies in developing and executing their commercial, financial and exit strategies.

David is an Observer on Automsoft.

Sandy McKinnonSandy McKinnon

Sandy McKinnon has nearly 10 years experience in helping successful commercialisation of defensible technology innovations.

As Director of Knowledge Transfer & Technology and Research Services (TRS) at Heriot- Watt University he helped incubate twelve spin-out companies and helped them raise over £4.6M in funding.

As a freelance consultant and also whilst he was with Scientific Generics in Cambridge - where he helped evolve and finally ran their Advance Technology Group - he provided due- diligence services over a wide range of sectors for a variety of blue-chip companies, institutions and VC funds.

Sandy is on the boards of Sonaptic, CacheLogic, Omniperception, SeeWhy and RapidMobile.

 

Bob Richards

Bob has over 25 years experience in the IT marketplace covering software, hardware and services. Before joining Pentech, Bob ran his own consultancy business focused on early stage technology companies where he worked either as board advisor or virtual sales director. His key focus areas were market segmentation, direct sales/channel strategy, and early customer acquisition.

Prior to this Bob was UK Sales Director at Avanade, a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft. In his earlier career he held a number of sales and management roles at IBM. He has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Sheffield Polytechnic.
