Omniperception is a computer vision company working in facial biometrics and intelligent CCTV security market. Spun out of Surrey University in 2003, Omniperception have developed next-generation products, techniques and patent pending intellectual property which they have embodied in a range of computer vision products targeting the civilian (physical and logical access control; sports marketing) and security (intelligent CCTV + video forensics) markets.

Their Affinity facial biometrics engine has “best in class” performance and the efficiency of the method is suited to low performance processing platforms such as match-on-smart-card which makes it ideal for nationwide identity card programmes.

Magellan provides automatic logo detection to collate reports of advertiser exposure in sports and other broadcast marketing.

Gama provides advanced object detection for intelligent CCTV applications in the security markets.

Pentech invested in Omniperception alongside IRIS Capital a Paris-based venture capital fund.

Sandy McKinnon of Pentech, has joined Omniperception’s board of directors.
